Questions you might have

Is Check On Me free?

Yes. Check On Me is being designed as a free community service for participants.

What if I only have one trusted contact?

That's absolutely fine. You can nominate one, two or three people, and each person must agree to receive notifications.

What if I don't have anyone to nominate?

You're still welcome. You can receive personal check-ins and access support information, but without an accepted trusted contact, no one will be alerted to a missed response.

Can someone register me without asking?

No. Friends or family may send an invitation, but you must choose to accept and provide your own consent before check-ins begin.

Is Check On Me an emergency response service?

No. Check On Me is not an emergency monitoring, rescue or crisis response service. Notifications may be delayed or fail. If someone is in immediate danger in Australia, call 000.

Need urgent support? If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 000. For crisis support in Australia, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14. Check On Me does not provide emergency or 24-hour monitoring.
